GINKGO WATCH 2025
Ginkgos are known to put on a show each fall with their bright yellow foliage, but their most special trait is dropping all of their leaves at once after one of the first frosts of the season.

The Woodlands staff is keeping a close eye on the trees and the weather in order to be as prepared as possible for Ginkgo Watch. With this map, you can visit the Ginkgos. You can also learn more about the history of the Ginkgo at The Woodlands (did you know the Ginkgo tree was first introduced to the US here at The Woodlands by our own William Hamilton?) with our blog post, “Roots of the Ginkgo.”

Come for a walk this Fall to see the glowing ginkgo leaves, tag your photos with @woodlandsphila and #GinkgoWatch, and make sure to follow our social media for updates on when the golden carpets arrive.
